We at VA-Garments are Proud sponsors of ILUVLIVEILUVLIVE is a bi-weekly event in which up and coming, as well as established Artists from all over the country come to showcase their musical talent. The show also acts as a steppingstone to some of the Uk’s superstars. ILUVLIVE have showcased artists as diverse and well established as Kano, Omar, Taio Cruz, Bashy, Chipmunk, Tinchy Stryder, Katy B, Ndubz, Tawiah, Roll Deep, Donaeo, DJ Ironik, Crazy Cousinz, Ms , Natty, Cocknbullkid, Laura Izibor, Ghetts, MPHO, Sway, Gracious K, Shystie, The Stow, and The Thirst amongst many. Ras Kwame (BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra) has been involved in the night since its inception and is still the regular Master of Ceremonies, supported by Twin B (BBC 1Xtra).

DJ Melody Kane warmed up the crowd on a cold night at XOYO with her usual hot mixture of everything from UK garage to dancehall.

 Previous open mic winner LIANNE LOVE was welcomed to the stage and performed two tracks from her ‘Hello, Hi’ EP. With her strong soulful vocal, it’s clear why she made it through to perform again.

TANYA LACEY is one of the most widely tipped new artists for 2012 .Her 4 tracks were great, with the epic ‘Born To Fly’, the solo version of the hit she wrote for Loick Essien ‘How We Roll’ and the brand new single ‘Letter To My Ex’.

SHAKKA was next on stage, lauching on to the stage with a short cover of Beyonce’s End Of Time, you knew this was going to be something special. His music cannot be pigeon-holed in any one specific catagory, with elements of rap, rock & soul all thrown into the mix to create something unique. He  has incredible energy and stage presence, with tracks from his mixtape “The Shakka Crown Affair” he whipped up the iluvlive audience and the finale cover of Coldplay’s ‘God Put A Smile On Your Face’. HE IS ONE TO LOOK OUT FOR.

MASTER SHORTIE  is no stranger to iluvlive, he’s a rapper who knows how to get the crowd rocking and he did just that. He’s also someone else who has an Ed Sheeran connection, sadly the ED  was unable to attend but the super talentedEtta Bond stood in for him on the track ‘Gravity’ and was a more than suitable replacement.

LOOK OUT FOR NEXT YEARS INDUSTRY SPECIAL ON THE 16TH OF JANUARY 2012, WITH SASKILLA / ELRO / JAMIE JOSEPH / RUBY ANN PATTERSON HITTING THE STAGE. AND OF COURSE WE AT VA-GARMENTS WILL BE THERE SUPPLYING ILUVLIVE T-SHIRTS AND JUMPERS.
