Team GB’s Adidas kit has finally been released for this summer’s Olympic Games. It is designed by fashion mogul Stella McCartney and was unveiled this morning at the Tower of London.
The kit’s design is based around the Union Jack which is the catalyst of each piece. British sportsmen and women from all Olympic sports modelled the new clothing, from Andy Murray (British tennis ace) to Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell (pictured below).
The Union Jack’s colours are different however to that of the typical flag; the focal point of the flag, the red, has been replaced with navy and the outer strips are a lighter shade of blue.
Personally, I am a big fans of this kit; its only downfall however could be the skin-tight look and feel to it which is not too dissimilar to that of Italian brand Kappa’s kits.
Will this put consumers off? Would you still buy this iconic one-off kit? Let VA know!
