The Olympic torch has finally arrived in London, ahead of Friday 27th of July official opening ceremony at the stadium in Stratford near to the VA-Garments fashion studio.
It was greeted by crowds all over Britain, the flame started its first full day in London at the Prime Meridian in Greenwich, in the south east London, receiving a good reception from thousands of well-wishers.
The torch began its London journey at the meridian, at Greenwich Royal Observatory, across the Thames from Canary Wharf. Natasha Sinha, 15, from Greenwich, who was nominated to carry the torch for her dedication to swimming and cross-country running, took the flame down into the equestrian arena.
Around 8,000 torch-bearers – includiing the Queen’s granddaughter Zara Phillips – will have carried the flame when it reaches its final destination next Friday. I personally cant wait for the Olympics, My favourite event i am looking forward too is the 100 Meters race.
