I have always had a love for designers who constantly do the unexpected and Iris van Herpen is one designer who undoubtably does that. Since launching her label in 2007, Dutch fashion designer Van Herpen has become one of the most talked about names in the fashion industry to date. Known for her innovative creations and super extravagant style, van Herpen pushes the limits of creativity with her interesting use materials.
Van Harpen collaborates with United Nude to present their 6th architectural shoe collaboration for her haute couture collections. So I thought I would show you all just how amazingggGGGGGG this shoe collaboration and their archive is. Every time I see these shoes (not to mention every single collection Van Harpen has ever done) I stare at them in ore and amazement. Check em out yo!!!
First up we have CARIOLE
All footwear for Iris van Herpen’s show was created in collaboration with United Nude. The designs were so intensely conceptual, that production was limited to the four catwalk pairs only!! Imagine trying to walk in those bad boys!!!
Next up we have BEYOND WILDERNESS
I am not going to lie but this heels look kind of scary BUT amazing at the same damn time.
…..And finally the latest design meet “FANG”
These bad boys have ten sharp teeth to each shoe
No matter what!! Iris van Herpen’s designs consistantly demonstrate fashion as art. Her creations are clear artistic statements which women can express their unique character. I’m such a fan of the whole thought process that goes in to creating something as unique as this.
For me personally Pharrell Williams is the reason they know about A Bathing Ape. When he started to wear BAPE in the mid-2000s he introduced the Japanese streetwear giant to a nation of new fans. Not long after he started up his own label Billionaire Boys Club, soon the two became synonymous with each other. This month Pharrell once again appears in BAPE and BBC, modeling pieces from both brand’s 2013 spring/summer collections. Williams shows how items from the different collections still manage to work effortlessly together, with various patterned and solid colored garments complementing each other well. Along with the standard BAPE line are items from the Mr. Bathing Ape suit range, highlighting even more possibilities from the ever-growing catalog that sits under the metaphorical but almost definitely camouflage A Bathing Ape umbrella.
So a few days ago over at VA-Garments we brought you excellent news, that we are proud to have joined forces with Barclays Bank PLC to create something different in terms of clothing and banking.
Their new and innovative payment app Barclays PINGIT, which was launched earlier this year allows consumers a quick way of sending money using just a mobile phone. So to get more individuals in the know and make the awareness of BARCLAYS PINGIT even bigger, we came up with some specific design based t.shirts that would be worn at several functions across the UK by both consumers and Barclays staff.
And here you have it, the final products worn by staff, consumers and even given away to those that thought the tops were so cool they would sport it on a casual day. Barclays Pingit wowed some of the most creative, young minds in the country at the Ravensbourne Freshers Fair held on Friday 28 September 2012. Ravensbourne is a university sector college specialising in digital media design, and runs a Freshers Fair each year, to help orientate new students to university life and living. Barclays took part in the Fresher Fair and spent time with hundreds of young people, sharing the great Barclays story. The team ran a stall showcasing Barclays latest innovations. During the day, the students got to ride on the “Go Stratford” augmented reality bike, sign up to Barclays Pingit and receive a £10 shopping voucher, and sit back and chat with friends in a free coffee and chill-out zone. Many t.shirts was given out during the day to students that attended.
